A downloadable poetry zine

Over the last decade or more, I've written a few poems about being chronically ill. I realized three of them sort of fit a theme, so I put them in a small zine with some simple art and an extra how-to.

Zine Contents

  • The Vase
  • I dream of clay
  • Paper Crane
  • How to Fold a Paper Crane

Files

You can download (for free, or for a donation):

  1. A PDF with single pages for reading (best on a phone).
  2. A PDF with spreads for reading (best on a computer).
  3. A PDF for printing the zine at home.
  4. An accessible, text-only HTML file.

Accessibility

The PDFs for reading on a computer or phone have tagging and alt text, and the text-only HTML file has appropriate semantics. If you run into any issues, however, please do let me know, and I'll do my best to fix them!

The printable PDF doesn't have any alt text or tagging.

Printing

Print on letter-sized paper at 100%/full size, double sided, flipping on the short, left edge. If you like, you can print the cover (the first two pages) on a thicker piece of paper.

(If you don't have letter paper, A4 with it set to "print to fit" will work in a pinch.)

To make the zine, fold both pages in half. The front and back covers should be on the outside and the poems inside should be in the order as listed above. Bind using a stapler or thread.

Heyy I'm from the zines and zinesters discord. I really have been looking for good poetry zines and I found it! I think I'm going to print it for my zine library :) I also very much relate to "how to fold a paper crane" as the experince was similar to mine as someone who read it in school

Thank you!! That's so nice to hear~ ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ
