Dispatches from VR, Issue 01

This is issue 1 of Dispatches from VR (DFVR), a zine series about my experiences getting into virtual reality as a disabled person. DFVR includes reviews of hardware and accessories, overviews of apps and games, and write-ups of VR events, all with a focus on accessibility for my specific disabilities.

Included Files & Accessibility

1. An accessible HTML file, with reflowable text, image alt text, and proper semantics. You can read it online (above) or download a zipped folder for reading locally (below). It doesn't look exactly like the PDF, but it's close! (Certain fonts may not work locally on mobile.)
2. A PDF for reading (with single pages). I did my best with accessibility, but it's likely not as accessible as the HTML.
3. A PDF for printing. No accessibility features.

I'd also like to eventually make an EPUB file using the HTML. But I need to figure out a proper workflow for it...

How to Print

Print the booklet/printable PDF full size (at 100%) on letter paper, double-sided with flipping on the short side. I think printing with A4 paper set to "fit" should also work okay.

Fold the pages in half. Bind using staples or thread.
